What needs to be included for me to donate?
Cell phones: Phones must meet the program requirements and must include the phone, battery and charger.
iPods/iPads: Units must include USB cable or charger
Movies: DVDs and Blu-Ray disks must be in their original packaging
Video Games: Disk based games must include disk, original case and any and all instruction manuals. Original boxes and instructions are not required for cartridge based games.
Consoles: Must include gaming console, at least one controller and all cables and power cords. Any rechargeable accessories or handheld devices must include the charger.
In order to receive your originally quoted amount, you must send in the exact items you selected during the buyback process.
How do I erase all the data from my cell phone?
Most cell phone models allow you to erase all your personal data reset it to the factory settings. Please refer to your owner's manual or the manufacturer's website for instructions. Make sure to remove any user locks, etc before you sell
Do I need to cancel my service or deactivate my cell phone?
Yes. Please make sure to deactivate your cell phone and pay your final bill before donating your cell phone. Also, please make sure that your phone is unlocked or that the unlock code is set to 1234.
Do you take my battery, extra batteries or accessories?
Yes. In order for you to receive your quoted price, please include your cell phone battery. You may also send us extra batteries for proper recycling. Prior to shipping your cell phone to us, please drain the battery completely and if you include extra batteries, please place a strip of tape over the battery contacts.
Do you want my other accessories?
Sure, but it’s not a requirement. Simply include them in the package when you ship your cell phone to us.
Do you accept broken or damaged cell phones or accessories?
Yes, we will gladly pay the shipping to recycle them!
Can I get my cell phone, video game, console or accessories back once I send it to Wireless Charity?
No. Unfortunately, once you send it to us we are unable to return it to you.
Who pays for shipping?
We do! Once you complete the required information you will receive a pre-paid shipping label.
What do you do with donated items?
When we receive donated items, we determine if the item must be re-sold or can be given directly to the charity. If the item must be re-sold, all proceeds are donated to local children's charities. If it is not able to be re-sold or donated directly, the item is recycled.
